Wow. I stumbled upon my tumblr and it has been ages since I last wrote a post on it! And while skimming through my posts. I re-read my entries a few years later and it looked like it has been a crazy few years for me. From tragedies to new beginnings to growing up and just being a young adult, I grew up the past few years.
Now that I graduated college, here comes the real challenge: reality. Looking for a job in this economy has sucked beyond belief. Although I am super grateful to have a job as a marketing assistant, I still don’t feel stable. I mean, I still live at home…with crazy asian parents. It doesn’t get any more stressful than that. Hopefully in the new year I can find something full-time for something I enjoy doing. That’s part of life right? To go through rough patches so that greater things to come is that much more fruitful. Yes, I am on a little rant right now haha, but it feels so nice to just write it out! How did I discontinue to do this?! Again: life happened haha.
But besides the fall of employment everywhere and the frustration that things are going around in circles, there has definitely been a lot sweet surprises during the last few years.
1. First (and I will repeat this again), I GRADUATED FROM UCLA! Oh man! What a great feeling it is to attend and graduate from your dream school :) My experience there was amazing yet stressful (from classes) and I am so happy to be DONE. Although to be honest, I do miss college life, not school ;). ANDDDD this year we BEAT USC in football! GO BRUINS!
2. I have an amazing boyfriend who is part of life. Crazy enough, he went to USC…I guess opposites do attract! He is just a wonderful human being who is silly, sensible, honest, generous and loving. And brownie points for him that he’s still with me because I think I’m difficult to be with relationship-wise. I was never the I-always-need-a-boyfriend type of girl and enjoyed life and me as it is. But he definitely has my heart.
3. I recently went on an east coast trip with one of my closest friend. We traveled to Baltimore, DC and NYC. Exhausting trip, but I had the best time! I definitely didn’t feel like I was there long enough so I am definitely going back sometime soon!
There are more things that should be added to the list, but these are some of the big ones that happened. Well, maybe I’ll write another post for the new year. It was kinda refreshing reading what I wrote in the past. Maybe I’ll keep this going for me.
